If you happened to find this site, you probably know what it's about. A little ranting and a little protesting over LEGO's decision to give Clone Wars related sets "creepy anime faces". It began with the so-called "Crackhead Anakin" and has spread like wildfire to future sets containing Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, Asajj Ventress, and various clone troopers. Maybe we'll never change LEGO's mind, but it's sure as heck worth a try.

This is a perfect example of fixing something 'till its broke. This isn't the first time fans have had to let LEGO know they made a lousy choice. In recent memory, they introduced the Light Up Lightsaber, which was a fiasco, to say the least.

We understand that the face is meant to resemble the new series by LucasAnimation, which we eagerly anticipate. Still, the faces look creepy and we don't want them. There was no good reason to change them. Keep the classic style (dots for eyes) and nobody would have missed the anime look. One of the great things about the LEGO system is the consistency between all sets, which this pretty much kills. Sure, we can easily switch the heads out for some like Obi-Wan, but what about Ahsoka or Asajj Ventress? Not so easy.

I'll try to update this as news comes across the transom.
